  • Оne of the cheapest granite in the world.
  • Stable light-gray color and no iron inclusions are guaranteed for the stone supplied by Pagoda-Build.

The quarry

G383 is a light gray granite with pinkish grains coming from Shandong province of China. It presently is one of the most inexpensive granites of China. Due to its low cost and good aesthetic qualities it makes a perfect fit for large scale projects. The quarry of G383 is very well developed, we know all about it and are very well connected to it. Our company has the first privilege of selecting the best blocks, moreover, while placing large orders, we normally purchase the whole layer of blocks from the quarry in order to avoid color variations.
G383 is gaining popularity in all stone consuming countries of the world. It is an excellent choice for production of cladding items, pavement stones, curb stones and polished tiles.

Goods out of G383:

Points of attention

1. Possible color variation

G383 quarry is nominally divided into 3 layers going down from the ground level. The stone extracted from the first layer, which is the closest to the ground level, has notably more pink grains in its structure. We select only the stone from the third layer of the quarry, which has a very uniform, even and neutral color. For large orders (thousand square meters and above) we order blocks located next to each other in the same layer of the quarry, thus guaranteeing the maximum uniformity of color.

2. Rust spots

Blocks located close to the ground level in the quarry have a lot of contact with the oxygen, so there is a bigger chance of oxidation processes for those layers, hence the tendency to have rusty inclusions that have a negative effect on the appearance of the stone. Xiamen Pagoda-Build rejects such stone on the very first stage when the blocks are selected.

3. White lines, black spots, cracks, poor polishing of the edges

As in case of any other natural stone, there is always a chance of having some obvious black spots, white lines, cracks and other defects discovered after stone is sawn and polished.
Xiamen Pagoda-Build strictly controls stone quality and reject these defects on the stage of secondary quality inspection when the stones are checked during packing. When strips are polished on the polishing line, some edges might come out not very well polished. All those poorly polished edges are cut off and utilized when the strips are cut into tiles. Before packaging, we dry all the stones thoroughly in the open air, thus guaranteeing perfect visual control of stone appearance (note that many defects might appear invisible on the wet tiles).

Throughout the time that we have been supplying G383, Xiamen Pagoda-Build experts carefully studied every stage of production, starting from quarry work and ending in packaging of ready products, thus examining all potential problems that might appear in the material. So today we have a very strong knowledge of how to avoid all possible hidden problems of this stone and provide a comprehensive information on this stone to our customers in order to let them select the optimum material for their needs.
